RONALDINHO COMEBACK

Former Barcelona and AC Milan superstar Ronaldinho has not been seen at the international level after the first few matches under Luis Felipe Scolari. However, he could be recalled after the end of the Confederations cup according to manager Scolari. He has said that both Ronaldinho and Kaka will be competing for a place in the 2014 World Cup squad despite many ruling them out of contention due to the presence of young and upcoming names like Lucas Mora and Oscar. Scolari has always been a huge fan of Ronaldinho and Kaka.

Despite being over 30 and not being in the best of shape to take part in a World Cup against the best defenders in the world, Ronaldinho and Kaka will be given a chance to prove their worth in the team. Ronaldinho has been in great form since moving to Athletic Minero, and it was partly responsible for his recall to the first-team in Scolari’s first match since returning as the Brazil manager. However, he was extremely disappointing in that defeat against England, which led to him being dropped for the subsequent friendlies.

Kaka has also been in poor form for Real Madrid, which has led to him not getting regular first-team football at the Santiago Bernabeu.

“We will keep an eye on every Brazilian player, in Europe and in Brazil, to ensure the best players will be included in the national team in 2014. All will be well received when observed and we will make the squad for the World Cup, the door is open to everyone. I already have a good group but I can not promise that any of them will be at the World Cup, I will do my analysis and we are open to every great player,” said Scolari, who led Brazil to Confederations cup triumph.
