A nightmare of a season for Ac.Milan saw them being unable to win any major silverware as well as having to sack Massimiliano Allegri due to his disappointing results and Clarence Seedorf replacing him.
The Dutch coach managed to win 10 matches and losing 8 of them during his time in charge of the Italian club in the past season and even though the team seemed to have stabilized in some way, rumors are heavily linking Filippo Inzaghi with the coaching position in Ac.Milan.
The contributions made by Seedorf in this recently concluded season might not have been enough for him to keep his position in the club as Sevilla’s Unai Emery was expected to become the next coach of Ac.Milan but the Spanish coach has extended his contract with Sevilla which means that he is off of the market and now Inzaghi is on the verge of taking up the hot seat.
The president of Sevilla Jose Castro announced that he had no worries concerning Emery after reading about all of the rumors concerning the Spanish coach with Ac.Milan as he always knew that Emery was going to stay in Sevilla.
“I am calm and he is also. I have no reason to think anything else because he is at ease in the Seville, as he has always said to me and it is normal that coaches to aspire for more. The contract will add at least one more season and I hope next year we equal or better this season, in the same way that we say to players who are coming here.” Castro said.
Ever since Filippo Inzaghi retired from playing professional football, he was appointed as the primavera coach of the club and ever since his retirement in 2012, he was seen as a potential manager of the first team.
No official statements or announcements have been made by the Italian club but it’s believed that the owner of Ac.Milan Silvio Berlusconi and the CEO Adriano Galliani have already met and discussed about the possibility of turning Inzaghi into the successor of Clarence Seedorf.
